VCK
As strong a set of headliners as Green Day, Kasabian and Foos would be, it makes me worry that we'll get a weak undercard. Look at 2009, the last year we had three genuinely massive headliners. That year's line-up is regarded as one of the worst.

jump
Why? Just because I have a minor flicker of knowledge outside of the Green Day spectrum?
Banana Co
To think we all dismissed Mr Benn's pause after being asked on Green Day.
gazza_20
This is worrying me too. That is an incredibly strong set of headliners. Unless FR are trying to justify putting the price up even more, I can't see the undercard being so strong. Then again '08 seemed to pull it off ok. gazza_20
Can't see Tenacious D playing. They played Reading and got a huge crowd. But it was a special booking. Their first real festival booking, definitely their first in the UK. Their biggest show ever. They nailed it. There is no reason for them to ever come back really. As cool as they are, they are a novelty booking. If they were to come back, it won't be in the same year as they are at Download. And even if they do, it won't be subbing if they are 3rd at Download. VCK
Didn't Blur and Metallica get 2 hours each in 2003? Which years have had headliners that have all played 90 minutes? 2001, 2002 and 2004? I think Pearl Jam got 1 hour 40 minutes in 2006.

Vieuphoria
08 did pull it off very well, and they had Metallica, Ten D, Slipknot and Avenged on the bill one day. Difference is though, only Metallica had a two hour slot, RATM's 1st show reunited or whatever it was but wasn't a 2hr headline slot. So it'd be 2 2hr and 1.5hr, vs 2 2hr and 1 1.5hr, but after last year I think MB will know he can't just book a shite undercard. In that interview, he got asked did it really sell out and was it successful in his opinion. He was right about Reading but Leeds didn't sell out and he didn't have to answer the question did he think it could of been better or did Leeds sell out. Vieuphoria
I'm a fan of both bands...yet it's pretty damn clear which one puts on a better headlining show. your link alone proves my point there.
