All the people laying into Kasabian, just don't go!

forgot you were all fucking full on screamo bellends! Kasabian are a great band live, and even fans who don't really like/know em and have no bands to see that night, will all know fire, Lsf etc.

Foo's are fucking awesome too, how can anyone be critical about the foo fighters be praising FR for Booking Muse, whilst nothing alike, they could easily class as pop if the foos do!

And with Green Day and The Cure, i hope none of them play, but i'd prefer the cure!

From wiki...

Pop music (a term that originally derives from an abbreviation of "popular") is a genre of popular music which originated in the 1950s, deriving from rock and roll.[1] The terms popular music and pop music are often used interchangeably, even though the former is a description of any form of music which is popular (and can include any genre), whilst the latter is a specific genre of music which has qualities which would make it appealing to a large audience

They are pop. They're just not pop in the Girls Aloud way. They're pop-rock, as are the majority of festival headliners, simply because it sells and is the most popular form of guitar based music . Pop extends to more than Girls Aloud and the like. The simple fact is, it's very hard to headline a mainstream British festival, unless you have significant pop based elements.
