Nobody is comparing Foos to Metallica but you have stated that we can add pop- to the beginning of any genre of music if the band in question has headlined a festival and has a big fanbase so Metallica would be pop-metal and Foos would be pop-rock as you said

Dont make such silly comments! Of course Foos are not pop-rock just like Metallica or not pop-Metal yes they are a metal band that is popular but tagging pop onto the start of their class of music does not make them pop music

No, that's not what I've said. I think you need to read what I've said again. I've said a band that doesn't have pop elements would be unlikely to headline a festival, because guitar driven pop rock is the most popular genre.

I think you may need to re-read things, and perhaps listen to tracks such as Best Of You and Learn To Fly.

Looks like it's it's almost certainly Foo's, Green Day and Kasabian. Which is a strong set of headliners. NBut unless there is a decent undercard, I won't be there.

They have always layered their vocals in an a cappella style... So it's not like them loosing their instruments makes much difference. I think it sounds interesting, and a fairly logical move for them to make. Wouldn't mind seeing them...
