I have no chance of getting tickets that night. I work at William Hill bookies in Gloucester and seeing as though that week is Cheltenham Gold Cup week (our shops busiest week of the year) noone is allowed to book a day off during it. Hoping it will take more than 3 hours for the tickets to shift!

The one problem I have with Foo Fighters is Grohls constant "it's so great to be here with you tonight" really got on my nerves at Milton Keynes after a while, regardless they are brilliant live!

Why are people worried about getting tickets?

Surely it'll take a while to sell out? Probably not as long as last year mind.

For Reading at least, 2010 and 2009 sold out of Weekend tickets within an hour. It's even worse as all the ticket site servers go down so you spend that hour constantly refreshing and hoping you will get in.

I can personally see R&L being the festival to be at this year, especially when you take a look round at the other festivals (this is my opinion obviously),

Download headliners-Prodigy, Metallica, Black Sabbath

IOW-Tom Petty, Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen

Sonisphere UK-Queen, Faith No More and ????

Bestival - New order

R&L - Foo Fighters, Kasabian & ????

With Neils info that Sonisphere were struggling with their third headliner, maybe R&L have pulled some rabbits out the bag this year and it could blow a few of the others out the water, especially if there is a kick ass undercard to!

The two or three years before last year it was selling out on the same night.

Id hope R/L is better than them festivals every year! theyre the smaller festivals! Its T in the Park and V that are possibly going to be better!! Personally I can see T in the Park being the best this year, they'll be the ones to benefit from no glasto or oxegen.

If you're concerned about it the the Vodafone VIP might be a good shout, if I recall correctly there was a really weak standard to qualify, something like get a vodafone PAYG sim card (free or £1) and make some calls using it.

Just seen 'Keane' have announced a UK tour this summer, in with a shout of R&L this year do you think? Or maybe more suited to V or another festival???

I fear if we live in a world where new order sub to Kasabian...

while I've no info at all on whether New Order are playing R/L, I do have other info about them which suggests to me that if they are playing R/L they're unlikely to be near the top of the bill - if they were I'd expect them to not be available to other fests.
