I second this. Apparently they will be playing a couple of festivals this year.

The new album isn't all I'd hoped for, but I had ridiculously high expectations, it's still very good

a breeze - the line from Cardiff to London runs thru Reading.

They certainly won't be announcing that they're playing R/L tonight, that much is 100% certain.

It won't be at R&L, 1 fest is metal (must be Download or Soni) and the other is a small one according to the interview.

its an epic album in its own way, but yeah i'm still not fully in love with it. can't wait to see them on their tour mind you - in notts and london!

and who knows where they would be placed if they were booked. probably depends on the album success and stuff

This, I dont think they'll ever be an Outdoors band. And they've been hyped as the next big thing since their performance at Download last year.

Very true, although I think (sadly) they would struggle to command a decent spot on the line up. They were a success at Sonisphere both times they played, but apart from that their tours haven't sold greatly. Shame, one of my favourite bands for sure, massively under rated.

But yeah, I am expecting it to be Download that gets them.

they normally announce something around 20 I think. The first R/L announcement normally has more acts on it than the first announcement for most other fests.

Where has the Bloc Party discussion gone? A month or so ago there was loads of talk of Bloc Party headlining or subbing, but theyre hardly mentioned now, did we ever reach a conclusion on them? I suppose with Kasabian pretty much locked in now its unlikely Bloc Party will headline as well, but I could see them subbing. Especially since people seem to be struggling to think of subs...

R&L are keeping the 3rd headliner + subs very well protected this year ey, compared to recent years its anyones guess.
