If I was a betting man right now I'd go similar to:
Korn
Judas Priest
Sleep Token
Deftones
Linkin Park (most confident about this one due to being ruled out of Graspop as Werchter booked them and that obvious gap on the 22nd)
Next 2 names I'd put up are Slayer & Muse. Scorpions maybe on same day as Priest.
Slayer: I don't know whether that is emotion leading me, you feel if they are going to do anything in Europe it will be Hell. But it's a big IF.
Muse I wouldn't have thought about them until Foos headlined this year.
On ST: unsure if headline or a sub/2nd stage, there's huge hype and a lot of fests are bumping them to headline but Hell somehow manages to book headline bands elsewhere as subs - looking at QOTSA. They were weirdly announced as "exclusive" for Rock AM Ring but that was later removed from them and kept for BMTH.
Agree with completely ruling out: Green Day (too pop/schedules clash), Gojira (whole tour announced later in the year, plus doing back end of festival season), BMTH (Rock Am Ring exclusive), Ghost (likely 2026), Maiden (scheduling doesn't work), Sabaton (tour for autmumn/winter booked, likely 2026)
Almost ruled out Slipknot as feels too soon to have them back, Graspop forums feel they are surely booked there and that would make the scheduling pretty intense for them (they would headline Graspop, Copenhell and Hellfest 3 days in a row)
Other bigger bands I could see making an appearance are: A Day to Remember (possible 2nd stage headline?), Sex Pistols & Frank Carter, In Flames, Till Lindemann, Falling in Reverse, Spiritbox, Within Temptation, Knocked Loose and Turnstile
Wow weekend tickets sold out. I have a theory that there were fewer weekend tickets on sale this year, as day tickets are more expensive and they’re going to make more money from them and people’s desire to see the pop headliners
Saw AatS at Glastonbury 2022. They were up against Diana Ross, so an no-brainer 😂 Amy Taylor is a whirlwind and the band rock. Really hoping they have a slot at G2025.
Can't see them legging Charli XCX up to headline this time around unless all of Fred again, Sam Fender and The 1975 have turned it down. Know it is another female headliner in a pool where the festival are determined to do better, but she's a very strong sub or Other bill-topper to me as it stands.
But Biffy Clyro would be excellent counter-booking if she did headline.
