Well they said ok to someone moaning that they want a legendary rock headliner, means nothing if Kasabian are one of then.

I'm still suspicious of Linkin Park only announcing the 1 euro date but I'm going to get excited over nothing by R&L announcing the line up the 1st Monday after Rammstein finish their Euro tour.

They're not bigger than either of those bands. I have no idea where you've got that idea from. I'd get some stats to prove it but you're so far off I think you should. I'd like to see comparison albums sales, singles sales or tour venue sizes that prove you right. Or even a festival bill with Bloc Party above either in the year before they split up

That isn't a representation of sales at all. What were the sales? Chart position fluctuates based on who else has an album out

They have the reformation factor, but it's not like they've been away that long. Radiohead have gone longer than that between albums.

Not saying they won't headline, but they shouldn't. They're up and down live too. Seen them like six times and half were great, half average

Im not a fan off Bloc Party but they have subbed a few times and are a big hit with the RnL crowd, face it if they play they would defently headline. Even if they didnt take a break for a couple of years i think they only needed one more album (which sold fairly well) to jump up to headline status anyway

I don't think reformations are as key as people make out, you only have to look at Darkness & Soundgarden who have both headlined big Uk fests before and see they are not headlining this year. I'd say it's more about the act than anything else.
