I have no doubt that Kanye/Jay Z would be amazing, I would really love to see it, but I imagine it'd attract quite a few dickheads. Most of the people on my facebook who are updating about it are the shit-for-brains neds who I haven't seen since school (and assumed were in jail), they'd be a pain in the arse around the campsite.

How many have you sold out? Thats a poor arguement.

Ill tell you who have sold out festivals though R/L, consistantly, without having to 'expand their demographics' someone said they NEED to expand their demographics. They dont need to do anything. There is no problem that needs fixing as they keep selling out. And up until last year they did it very quickly. And I think the only reason they didnt sell out until late last year was because the lineup was pretty weak. I think theres a place for rap music, in fact i think theres a place for any genre of music at leeds. But headlining the main stage isnt it.

Well they havent really. Every year most bands on the lineup have played the festival before. Its not even a rarity to recycle old headliners. And they dont have a problem selling tickets. If they announced this year that the lineup was going to be exactly the same as the 2008 lineup Im sure theyd still have no trouble selling tickets. The only changes that have really happened recently in the lineups are that due to download and sonisphere theyve lost a lot of their heavier stuff. But theres still some there, and its only been replaced by indie and pop punk bands which were there already. Nothing as drastic as booking loads of rap.
