Role Model
I'm seeing Kanye/Jay in May, I don't care that'll never play Reading, it's disappointing though, I'd love the festival to branch out a little bit more, but that's life. Still at least the organisers aren't quite as closed minded as some people on this board appear to be.
LibertinesFanBoy
Arctic Monkeys are more comparable to Metallica than either of them are to Kanye West.
The Mean Bean
Its all the same genre though. Theyre all rock bands, just different styles. Kanye West and Jay Z are completely different in everyway. If you buy a R/L ticket you expect your headliners to at least be able to play guitars. Yellow_Fellow
I see no genre reason we shouldn't have them. We've had Beastie Boys, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy in the past!

rug568
Personally i don't want to see Jay/Kanye but i recognise they would be a massive booking. Enter Shikari in the NME would do me fine.

chriseede
Thoose artists are actually talented though just like the Jigga man but I am not sure about the dick he is teaming up with. Role Model
Bit surprised people still trying to act like Kanye's not one of the most important and talented guys in the genre.
Dukeeyyy
Either Jay Z/Kanye West or Linkin Park are my guesses for 3rd headliner, i'm leaning towards Jay Z and Kanye atm because i reckon they might have them on a UK Festival exclusive, if not them then Linkin Park, the only thing that is leaning me away from JZ&K is that they have just announced a tour, but still think they will be the 3rd headliner. Frankly Mr Shankly
Kanye may be a bit of an egotistical dick, but he is most certainly talented.
Dukeeyyy
Who would sub to Jay Z and Kanye if they headlined?

Role Model
As do I. I hope people are understanding me correctly. I understand theyd be a huge booking, and that theyd sell loads of tickets. But I just think there are bands that more fit the 'R/L mold' that would be huge bookings and sell tickets too without pissing some people off (not saying it would piss everyone off, but there will be a lot of people who go to R/L because it classicly books more 'NME' type bands which they like and have paid for a ticket expecting more of).
