So from 2009 you have Bloc Party, The Prodigy, Maximo Park, The Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, Vampire Weekend, Lost Prophets, You Me At Six, and Eagles Of Death Metal from 2010 you've got Biffy Clyro, Lost Prophets (again) Gogol Bordello, The Futureheads, You Me At Six (again) The Gaslight Anthem, Mumford and Sons and Kids In Glass Houses.

I'm not saying it's not possible and FR do have a history of repeat bookings but as I've said earlier, far too many 2009 acts if you ask me, I would hope they would go for some originality and not just a rehash of the previous three line ups.

R.E.M. could easily sell day tickets, they may not be as relevant now as they were 15-20 years ago but they're still a pretty big name and have a large following. Plus I'm sure they'd draw the casual fans in who want to hear Man On The Moon, Losing My Religion and Everybody Hurts. They're at least as big as The Strokes, Pulp, My Chemical Romance, Arcade Fire, Blink 182 and Smashing Pumpkins.

Also, what's with all the predictions for Kasabian to close Reading?

Are people even making predictions anymore? Every one I look at looks just like the last one, I swear they are just being copied and pasted now.

I'd love a classic headliner.

Kiss for me would be great, whilst not everyones cup of tea, they put on a hell of a show, and certainly everyone will know 'I wanna rock and roll all night', and a few other hits amongst others, I felt this year at Pulp people only knew Common People and Disco 2000 in the Majority, So i don't think knowing the songs would be a massive issue.

For me i'd be looking at

KISS - Foos - Kasabian

With Subbing slots from Biffy, Bloc Party and Slipknot

NME Stage:

Friday: Manics

Saturday: The Courteeners

Sunday: Jane's Addiction.
