As long as there is a decent sub/2nd stage headliner to the newbie/weak headliner then I don't think there should be any complaints. That was the only thing that annoyed me about My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds To Mars & Beady Eye were both cringe worthy bands and kinda deflated the Friday night for me.

On the angle that efests have said that Jay - Z would be considered to him as young, which I agree hence my inclusion of him. Not only would he be this but he's also be the only one of those who would have the style of block booking a hotel which is what efests say has happened.

I'm wondering of there is something hidden there and The Prodigy have been bigged up in the supposed leak as more headliner, that the actual sub headline they might be? We say 3rd down btu generally for top 2, it's sub headliner and headliner.

Therefore,

Jay - Z (Kanye also maybe)

The Prodigy

Foo Fighters

Biffy Clyro

Green Day

Bloc Party

I'm actually going to change slightly, based on what others think about the 2hr slot, both foo's and gd would not play less i can't see and i can't see there being two days of 2hr so i'm putting:

Jay - Z

Foo Fighters

The Prodigy

out there. That would leave space in subs for both the we'll say favourites for the positions in biffy and bloc party plus leave one for mumford.

Friday

Jay Z & Kanye West

Dizzee Rascal

Saturday

Bloc Party

Mumford & Sons

Sunday

Foo Fighters

Biffy Clyro

That's the type of line up I'm picturing, enough bands progressing up the line up, but also with FF's and Watch the Throne you've got acts big enough to shift some tickets

Bloc Party on top of the bill would do very well with those people leaving college and wanting to do one last big weekend before their mates get split up by going to different uni's. Bloc Party would have been a big indie part of their lives throughout the teenage years, so IMO MB doesn't need to fear not selling tickets with bloc party as a headliner.

I was thinking earlier, if Jay and Kanye do play, could it see a relatively mid high slot for OFWGKTA? Backed by them both, and obviously having pulled out last year, with several new records coming out, and a handful of UK dates announced, maybe something like fourth or fifth on mainstage with a mid FR slot on the same day for Frank Ocean? I think they could play very high up NME on other days, possibly headline, but was considering the links.

Agree. Most teenagers this year were there to have a good time with their mates & see a few bands on NME stage. Muse were just a massive bonus! £200 to have a great time with your mates really isn't that much to someone still living at home. Reading (not sure about Leeds) has become a "right of passage" (I don't like using that phrase) & these are the main demographic. This years line up was almost irrelevant as most go off boozing at camp between bands. R+L needs to decide who it wants to cater for & imo it needs to cater for these punters to keep going.

I don't mean get rid of older acts entirely, just that they wouldn't have as great a presence on the main/NME stages.
