Glastonbury must be the worst place in the UK to be clean.

solar showers we found were crap last year so this year going to get a 12v camp shower, £20 on eBay. can be run off 4 D. batteries. in the heat last year it was bliss to have a shower every morning

Only issues I can see with showering is, once clean, you will realise how bad everyone really smells!

Impromptu bath/shower this year for me, small paddling pool in trailer-tent awning, watering can - done!

Lol I've been to the "Benicassim Showers" a couple of times during the previous decade. Yep most of the Spanish girls go naked, as do a small percentage of the British. Good for them(that applies to girls and guys) for all who go naked to shower, as it's ridiculous wearing swimwear to shower! But generally most people(guys and girls) wear swimwear. Those showers are great though. Each shower area has about 100 shower posts, so the queues are practically non-existent even at the busiest times, just find a spare shower post and away you go. And there are about 4 or 5 of these shower areas throughout the campsite. They ought to have something like this at Glastonbury!

Anyone know anything about the solar showers mentioned for people holding the green lanyards? Sounds like they're separate from other ones...wish they'd release some details about the lanyard!

I used to think the same... until I started having showers at festivals. Seriously, nothing feels better than being nice and clean. You feel good and *look* good. It's a winner.

Always used the Greenpeace showers over the last 10 years or so. Yes they used to be communal with both sexes getting nekkid but to be fair nobody ogled anyone, to my notice, everyone was too busy getting clean. They had a beach waiting area one year which was fab. Real sand and deckchairs.

They had 2 queues, one for girls and one for boys, when you reached the front you got a corresponding blue or pink ticket and came back when your number was ready. You then showed your ticket and walked through the boys or girls entrance into the communal changing rooms and showers

Absolutely the best hangover cure there is. Come out feeling refreshed and ready for the day.

What about queues for these greenpeace showers? I must admit I've never bothered before, but if it isn't too time consuming to have one then perhaps this year I might go for a more hygenic approach!
