Pulp not playing is a big surprise. I still reckon it's safe to assume they were asked (like the Libertines) but must have commitments/financial incentives elsewhere. I really will have to get myself in gear for a couple of days at Leeds/Reading

Leaves us guessing on both Sunday Pyramid sub-headliner and Other Stage headliner then. Looking more and more likely to be someone sub-par like Kaiser Chiefs/Underworld/Pendulum etc.

Disappointing. As much as I like Morrissey I think I'd be pretty let down with that being the last act. It'll be a long wait until 2013. Pulp would have been an epic close to the festival for me. Shame.

Although it could work out well as I've always seemed to be watching the Other or Pyramid headliners and not going anywhere else - apart from West Holts once. Would be nice to catch someone closing up at The Park.

As a side note, what's the general selling out on Leeds.

Usually the full weekend tickets sell out on the day and then a few weeks until the day tickets go.

As they've had a bad year and still haven't sold out the weekend tickets yet, is it a relatively safe call that the day tickets won't go until after then?

Just thinking wouldn't mind final confirmation on the Glastonbury line up before I commit £90 to a day ticket as with travel to and from Leeds, plus drinking it's going to cost the best part of £200 for the day

Don't rule out all hope. It'll be interesting to see if the message changes when Leeds sells out...

It just feels unlikely to me that they won't be there. Plus I'm willing to trust this Newcastle fan until I have cause not to.

Arcade Fire are booked up - as has been mentioned on far too many threads that have gone a bit "AF" they are playing in Luxembourg on the Sunday.

No it didn't! There isn't any money at Glastonbury. As disappointed as I am about Pulp I hope they go for someone who needs a "push" given that they are almost guaranteed a decent crowd being up against Beyoncnull. Or Belle and Sebastian (headlined Latitude so that must be about right slot for Glasto). Or James, which would be epic. Or The Levellers (doing "Levelling The Land").

This is very surprising. when Pulp got back together I thought a Glastonbury slot would be nailed on. Damn shame if they don't play. Just glad I'll be seeing them close Leeds.
