Dry The River have quickly gone to the top of my must see list, which thanks to the wonders of spotify is changing daily. Today I am mostly listening to Lykke Li. How cool?

I think there was another thread not that long ago asking for tips for the this years Mumford and Sons. Dry The River, could be this years. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad one.

I saw Dry The River supporting Laura Marling, Damien Rice and The Magic Numbers at Honeyfest yesterday. I really liked what I heard. Good quality folk and they also know how to rock out. Laura played some new songs from her unreleased third album and the sun even came out at the right moment. Not bad for April.

Believe it or not, he was top of the bill, ahead of Laura Marling. I thought he sounded fantastic, but he mainly limited his set to crowd-pleasing songs from "O". The Magic Numbers joined him for his penultimate track, a Dylan cover (but don't ask me which, I was too full of "Old Croppie" ale to remember), then he finished on The Blower's Daughter (and I got arsey with a group of teenagers who continued to talk at full volume through this rousing and tender track - eedjits!)

Newbury? I thought they were from somewhere glam like Brooklyn! Well I do hope that they are the next Mumfords, cos accidently we got two copies of their first 7".

Just went onto their official page and they are doing loads and loads of fests incl. Glastonbury & GM, but in Capital Letters it says END OF THE ROAD YEAH!
