There were definitely some glitches out there, which may have been a reason for keeping it open. My wife and a friend of ours were thrown off the form a fair few times and they were using the correct reg numbers.

Its good to see some people are as chewed up about all of this as I am. Feel sick to the stomach about it all! Held back waiting on our whole summers plans until the outcome of Sunday is sorted.

I almost feel uncomfortable lurking on here at rumours and stuff, its almost voyeur like reading about rumours and stories and everyone getting excited for a party that I'm not yet invited too!!

Am thinking about trying to find out signal hotspots for quicker connection... but that probably wouldn't make any difference!

Try Opera as well, with 'Turbo mode' enabled. That kept getting me through to the 'queue' page, (even though I finally got my tickets with internet explorer, the crappiest browser known to man!)

I echo what Paul has said - be careful! It might be worth contacting the person via phone (landline) to confirm they are who they say they are, and that way you have a little extra reassurance.

From what ive read, it seems as if a few of you on here are trying to help each other get tickets. I remember from when i got my ticket in october i was given the option to book more tickets straight away, thus skipping the queue of people waiting. i personally dont think this is fair but anyway if its still there, i think you guys might as well exploit it. therefore may i suggest that you all keep one eye on this forum and then if one of you gets through which is surely bound to happen then quickly ask anyone on the forum through this thread if they want a ticket and then you can simply click the buy more tickets button and hopefully all of you will be sorted!! anyway best of luck to all of you and see you in june!!

We all have our tickets, but this forum is the only thing that gets me through my working week, and if I can help anybody get tickets, I would be more than happy. I know that giving a complete stranger your card details if odd, but pm me if u want an extra helping hand.

Also worth trying different ISP's other than Explorer, ie Firefox, Google Chrome. I found Chrome better when I paid the balance as I was worried about campervan tickets selling out.

Just posted this on the other thread on here but if it's of even the smallest bit of help to someone, it'll be worth repeating myself!!

I got through in October on my work laptop through a VPN connection (after no joy on personal laptop after several hours, and a recommendation from fellow efesters saying they'd got through that way). I deffo remember some discussion about whether it was going through your work servers or some other mystical technical magic which seemed to make it work (sure I even recall people actually going INTO their offices or uni to give it a go).

Now there could be nothing in it, but if you have access to a VPN connection it has to be worth an effort.

I couldn't have tried any harder back on re-sale day and this would be my 19th Glastonbury on the bounce so may well PM a few of you nice folk who have offered for Sunday assistance.

Think I'll try work VPN connection to see if that gets through any easier.

I've got a friend who is an absolute nightmare. She paid the deposit in October but has been deliberating ever since about whether she wanted a ticket; I pestered her on a daily basis during payment week and she didn't pay the balance. She has just texted me to ask if she can try in the re-sale, ARGH! I could kill her but in theory is there any reason she can't try it? I assume it would be fine?

Yes!

2005 I tried everything from the moment sales opened, to a Radio 1 competition running right through the final week before the festival, till the Friday morning, trying to get through to Chris Moyles with the rain coming down so hard in Brmingham that it was coming back up through holes in the road in little fountains! I still wanted to get there! I honestly couldn't have done any more.

I am sorry if this is disheartening to anyone who thinks that of they want it enough they will get it, but the only thing I can say is, that heartbreaking as it was at the time, I did get over it, and I have valued every Glastonbury since then so much more as a result (and it's not like I didn't love it before!). 2005 was also just before a fallow year so I had the same 2 year thing that people are facing now - it's horrible!

I do think it's important to say it though, because if theres one thing that still gets me really mad it's anyone implying that people who don't get tickets didn't want it enough, weren't organised enough etc. All it means is that everyone lucky enough to get a ticket has a responsibilty to enjoy themselves to the max when they get there, because there will be people sitting at home that wouldn't waste a moment being miserable if they were one of the lucky ones!
