Acceptable luggage for coach?

Hey all!

Had to settle for the thursday mornin coach package but at least ill be there!

Has anyone on here been on the coach before? whats an acceptable amount of luggage/alcohol?

How much were you planning on taking? Remember the coach stop is miles away from the main site, I think it's more a question of how much you can carry.

The coach stop is not miles away from the site any more (well, based on last year). However, the pedestrian gate you get in through is still about an hours walk from the pyramid. The paths will be littered with dead trolleys as well as they are quite rocky.

So pack accordingly.

the coach stop is right by gate A, you'll have a far shorter walk than most of the people that come by car.

Last year we all took a large rucksack, tent and other camping essentials, but no alcohol. Think some people did though. Everyones stuff got packed up without problems.

Yeah, the coach park in closest to the camping fields up behind John Peel tent and I think they are the last to fill up. I'm sure we reached the Pyramid from the coach in about 15min or less, even with all our stuff. There were metal trackways between the coach park and the main areas.

Gate A is perfect cos last year we camped near the bushy ground which will be ideal as it was still quite quiet on the thursday!!

Im thinking of taking a small tent, rucksack and a crate or two of alcohol.

The countdown has begun!!

I can actually look at the line up optimistically now instead of trying to slate it to make me feel better if i didnt have a ticket!!

I would suggest packing the alcohol in and around your other belongings but taking an extra bag to accommodate. I think if the coach is struggling for space they are more likely to turn down the box of cans that refuse someones rucksake full of cans!

I think 'an hours walk' is a bit of an exaggeration. It's an hours walk from Shangri La maybe.
