Missed the coach

Another question

hypothetically speaking... what if a friend missed the coach because he was late. We tell the driver that he is running late (make up some elaborate excuse) and that he will catch us up in his car and follow us to Glastonbury.

Do you think he would give him his ticket?

no, they would not give the ticket to someone who is not the person on the ticket.

If they missed the coach completely they could pick them up from the site, that might include some pretty heavy queuing and explaining yourself though.

Just get the coach one way and drive back, mates in the car take your gear and set you tent up with theirs and everyone's happy.

The problem is getting the car there in the first place as all my friends have coach tickets.

Can you not just simply get the coach?
