TheNewUnion
A meal will set you back anything from £5 upwards. Spend about £6 and you can get a great feed. Shop around (i.e don't just eat in front of the pyramind) and there are good value, hearty meals at a fair price to be had, In terms of Alcohol, I don't recall spirits being on sale (again bring your own) though I am sure there was a cocktail bar. Outside of that your usual lager, wine and I think "alcopops", loads of real ales on sale, the legend that is Brothers "Cider", your regular cider and the cider from the cider bus (along with cider brandy). Price wise £3-4 a pint. Soft drinks (for mixers) are oddly expensive, Glastonbury water was £1.50 for a big bottle I think - water from the taps is free. The beauty is of course, you can take all your own booze (no glass of course). Have a quick search on the forum, there are some great food threads (some with pictures) and somewhere someone posted a price list from a bar. ukslim
Head East for the best food. There's really good food around West Holts, and up towards the Green Fields. Also there's good eating in the Park area. The best food in the main market area also seems to be around the East side of that area. Basically, the closer you are to the Pyramid and the Other stage, the more the stallholders know they can get money for selling you a crappy burger or some carelessly cooked noodles. (With some honourable exceptions; one year there was a brilliant goat curry to be had in the Other field)
