New to UK clubbing...

Hello good people B)

So, after years of being a trance and house fanatic I've taken the step into clubbing. A bit late but better than never :)

After being part of ASOT 500 in Den Bosch followed by Sensation in Norway, I'd like to go to a full blown festival, and what do you know...Creamfields suits my work schedule perfect.

I went by myself to ASOT, and hooked up with fellow Norwegians and made new friends. We are using facebook to plan out next move and would like to set up a rather large tent, or lavvu, that can house up to seven or so people. Some of us work in the armed forces so camping like this would be excellent field operations :P

So I'm just wondering if there are any limitations on the size of the tent and does every member of our "unit" have to buy full scale camping tickets? What are the rules regarding bringing beer and drinks? I suppose it is very easy to get aquainted with other people when camping? And finally, are there mostly guys that camp?

The line-up for Cremfield is very good, my favorite is Armin but SHM and Laidback Luke will rock. Loads of good music :)

Hope some of you can answer my questions and perhaps I'll see you there B)

Everyone who intends to camp must buy a full weekend camping ticket, as the day tickets use a different entrance.

Pretty much no rules regarding alcohol except no glass bottles, just cans/plastic. They say there are limitations but I can't see anyone stopping you.

Everyone I've talked to at creamfields for the past 4 year have been friendly, willing to make new friends etc.

Most people who attend camp a the featival, male and female.

Hey suddyboyy and thanks for replying!

I've been looking at youtube and the crowd looks very young. Me and some of my friends are in our 30s. Will we totally stand out??

I've been looking at the different ticket options and there are so many that it is rather confusing. I see that there are options in which you can camp without bringing your own tent, and I fancy that option!

I have to ask you experienced Creamfielders, If I want to make the most out of this trip; get the best adventure ever, what ticket option should I buy??

All depends what you want to spend and what you like doing. We always get Hospitality without camping and stay in a nearby hotel but the luxury camping options do look cool. Hospitality is definitely worth doing though.....

Me, on the other hand, always get the normal tickets, I think being part of the masses is a better festival experience... grubby toilets, packed campsites with people shouting random crap, dodgy food... makes the festival. But then again, I wouldnt listen to anything I said. If you like your luxury then possibly HOSPITALITY is for you. Cleaner toilets and seating I believe. Who knows, us peasants can only dream...

  • 1 month later...

I had a VIP/hosptialiy ticket last year, only got it because standard camping were sold out. I camped in the normal campsite.

I did attend the VIP area in the arena, free meal voucher for each day and also the toilets were clean and not of the portaloo type.

This year I have a standard camping ticket. Not really worth the extra money IMO and as CeeCee says its all part of the fun anyway.

As i've always said, it all depends what you want and what money you've got. I think it's worth it but i'm getting on a bit. For my first 3 or 4 Creamfields I got regular tickets and would never have dreamed of doing Hospitality in my teens or 20's. Just like a bit of comfort now and somewhere to rest my old bones for a bit when things get messy!! :D
