George - I'm in the same boat - Waheh. Get into Pembroke from Rosslare at something ridiculous like 2am Wednesday morning and then driving to Glasto from there. We've a few crates pre-bought but we're hoping to get some spirits over there as it's much cheaper. Saw that the Tesco off the motorway in Bristol is 24hours. Any update on whether it serves alcohol 24hours too?

Coming from Pembroke you'll pass Bridgend on the M4. 24 hr Tesco is about 5mins from jct35. Bought beer from there for fathers day a few years ago either on way to/from work at 6 in the morning. Doubt if that has changed.

The Asda Walmart Supercentre beside the M5 motorway in Bristol sells alcohol 24 hours. I know because i rang the store to ask them.

Yey just rang this store today and they confirmed they do indeed sell alcohol 24 hrs and the store is very easy to access from the m5 motorway according to the lad on customer services,

this has made my planning the little easier and possibly cheaper too

They will be selling beer on the boat so you could stock up then, should be a touch cheaper than Irish prices, but maybe not as good as UK supermarkets. There is no reason for customs to be taking anything off you on arrival into anywhere from Ireland as the duty has already been paid.

Hey all,

There is a group of 5 of us travelling from Ireland on tuesday night (wednesday morn)on the ferry and was wondering could anyone tell us what time the likes of 24hr Tesco, Asda and the like stop selling alcohol at, in Ireland its 10pm and we hope to travel light on the ferry and stock up when we arrive which will be about 5am.

don't forget the mighty Lidl, who you have to drive past if you come through Wells, just before the Glastonbury road roundabout. Not got the range of booze, but are much cheaper than most for spirits/cans. opens 8am.
