Pubs in Donington

Been to Donington a few times in the past and always fancied a few pints in the Village itself... so we're making an effort to do so this year. Any that we should make a real effort to go into and any to avoid. We always stay in Derby and Shuttle bus in.

I do it every year, on the thurs, just do the crawl down, all good. Turks head is a must. Cus everyone sits out front, gud laugh

Jolly potters is the pub for real ale !!! Nags Head on the way down more like a food pub , although some seating outside, Turks Head in the middle with the refurbised Moira opposite then two more on the way to the co op then cross keys and finally the LAMB try them all and you might need a cab back !!

Can see how a pub crawl might be fun, but I'm not spending almost £200 to leave the site for half a day!

Mrs and I did that last year, (Holiday Inn Express, Pride Park) The shuttle there was ok , but getting back at night was chaos. I'm trying to decide whether to do the same this year or stay in Ashby and drive.
