We use old nylon shower curtains.. Not to heavy if wet.

Just seam any cut edges. good with fabric paint dye etc.

made this last year. all done by hand, though i wish i'd used stencils to draw it all as it took me ages.

this was before i started sewing it all on. the face was just a demo picture i sent to a friend to show progress, it currently says "glasto 2010" and lives in the rear windscreen of my car

That looks really, really good. Did you use stencils and spray for this? I'm thinking about making a more permanent version of mine as it's not suitable for heavy downpours.

Been modifying our new Isle Of Wight Flag today.

it will look better in the proper dark rather than just shutting a crappy curtain.

Now i just need to figure out how to make sure the LED connections wont shake free... :S
