glasto first timer
I will be travelling down with my family on Tuesday evening and have booked accommodation in Bath as I can't expect my youngest to sleep in the car overnight in a festival carpark. I believe the trip from Bath to the site will be about 20 miles in the morning (A367 and A37). What kind of congestion can we expect around 6am in the morning? Also, can anyone offer any tips on which approach to take into the site, i.e. which car parks to head for bearing in mind that we are keen to try to get into the Cockmill Meadow Family Camping Area which we hear will likely fill very quickly on Wednesday morning. Any advice on which Gate Access to try for this camping area is appreciated taking into account our arrival plans above. Thanks

Mel & Claire
Set off at first light, I've heard that's when people sleeping the car parks emerge and start lining up to get in. A couple of hours sat in the car park or stood in a queue is preferable to being stuck in traffic for hours for a stupidly short distance! ICESTONE
we arrived on the wednesday morning last year at around 6.30 from the M5 and had no significant traffic issues, never really stopped until we got to the site and waited until we were directed in. The only issue i can see is that a hell of lot more people might come on tuesday evening if the weather looks like its good. We were on the front row of car park field and i reckon there already about 5,000 people milling around who had stayed overnight.
