tickets sales?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was last year 110,000 or something like that ?

So if sales really are are half that or less, is there a possibility of them making a loss ? Even allowing for probably having to pay AC/DC a ton of cash last year.

I very much prefer a smaller crowd, but financially its a bit worrying.

LN were quite realistic in not expecting 110,000 this year. In fact John Probyn said "we don't think we will get 110,000 again" at the fan forum. Especially as none of them would book AC/DC again after the trouble they caused!!!

The stage wasn't even the half of it unfortunately.

There's a very real chance they could make a loss, I feel more sorry for the catering vendors and stall holders who will have bought pitches based on an approximate football of 60-80k only to see maybe 50k

Y'know I would really love to know sales figures and profitability of a burger or similar stall at the main stage, I really would. Not in a negative begrudgingly or profiteeering so+sos way, just as a business. Cost of the pitch, other costs, costs of ingredients, sales etc. It would be interesting.

Approx how much does a pitch cost ? Anyone know, roughly ?

I think it is far more than 3k for the 3 days, i was told dominoes paid in the region of 20k for their pitch a few years ago and i overheard the bloke in the camp site with a 24 hour breakfast stall had stumped up 7.5k. One gripe i have is the price fixing they have they are told how much to sell burger's & chips for drinks etc.

you can pick up 48 burgers for around £15 maybe less in bulk

48 burger buns £7

10kg of fries for £7.50

slice of cheese x2

a polystyrene tray

splash of ketchup

napkin

plastic fork

total £1.10 sold for £7.50 not a bad mark up then the wages/insurance/vehicles etc
