VIP/Hospitality tickets

I have been lucky enough to score two VIP/hospitality tickets from one of the festival partners, and was wondering if anyone could shed any light on what is included with these tickets. I am told there is a seperate area of camping and bar and toilets, but have also heard that this area is where some of the acts chill out etc. Anybody experienced this sort of hospitality at previous Glasto's?

Thanks, that was my fist port of call but the search box doesn't like "VIP" as it's less than four characters!!

hospitality is the correct term and its shit, nothing is free and toilets aren't much better but you can buy champagne from the bar. Quick access between main and other is its greatest asset.

I'll also try and take some piccies of the Hollyoaks lot...although you may have to make do with the girls only!

I got in there randomly in 2000, milled around for the Friday night (as once we were in we weren't risking leaving!) and saw some B list celebs milling around. The fact that we made it there was better than the experience of being in there, we were just made up to have got in there. Looking at it with more mature eyes I would rather have gone to see the chems (we accidentally wandered in there just before macy gray, watched her from the back of the pyramid stage then walked into hospitality proper with her entourage when she came off stage, so failed to actually see any music at all that night, really).

Thanks for all the responses so far, this is my 1st glastonbury, so just happy to be going, i promise to treat any b list celebs with the disdain they deserve!

Enjoy it. We also saw Keith Allen, who is a legend, so it wasn't ALL people like Sanjay from eastenders, but largely it was.

There are celebs milling around too. eg last time we were among some Radio 1 lot, Jo Wiley, Zane Lowe etc. Carol Vorderman! The View were fighting each other and we also saw some Hollyoaks, Tim Lovejoy and Robbie Knox aka 'The Tramp' and Howard Marks. Quite interesting whiling away some time between bands.

Over the years I have worked in the guest area { used to be called backstage compound }

and would not spot a Soap Star even if they handed me a tenner .

Best guy I ever met was John Peel sometime at the start of the 90's and over the next ten years we would run into each other at various events and he was always a very interesting guy to speak to - he is sadly missed.
