Prescription Drugs

I'm on prescribed medication (which thankfully I can drink with) but I don't want to take the entire bottle incase I lose them.

However I'm worried if security finds them they will assume that they are drugs and confiscate them.

Anyone else got any experience with a similar situation?

I agree with Strudders. I always take a photocopy of my repeat prescription with me as my pills are usually dispensed into those weekly compartment things. I could look like a right ol' proper dealer with five different types of pill if I didn't do that I fear.

does anyone know if exceptions are made to the 'no glass' rule for medication?

i have a prescription nasal spray that is in a glass bottle - it has one of those special squirty tops that create a fine mist to be absorbed so i can't exactly decant it.

a) - will i be allowed to take this in do you think?

B) - if possible, i'd prefer to take a smaller version of it, which can be bought over the counter (flixonase). as if i'm going to lose it, would prefer to lose a smaller one as they're quite pricey - but would i be better off with the prescription one with my name on it do you think?

thanks in advance

ps - it's not on repeat prescription so unfortunately can't take any paperwork with me

thinking about it, i take it with me every year (it's for hayfever, and anyone who suffers will tell you that glastonbury is not the place to be without it!!), so must have just stuffed it in my toilet bag and not thought about it

not sure why it's popped into my head this year - must be getting more responsible as i get older (or just have started worrying more!)

Just make sure it is clear what they are, or can you buy a blister pack from a pharmacy, that way it will be clearly printed on the bliter pack what they are.

I have pretty awful hayfever so feel your pain. I take a plastic bottled nasal spray, citirizine dihydrochloride aka Zirtek (can be bought for £1.50 for 14 days worth of 1 a day supply from Tesco and is exactly the same as a dr would prescribe)as well as Optrex Itchy Eye Drops (BOGOF at Tesco) and the combination of that gets me through pretty well.

I also take various vitamins and supplements and do take them to Glasto but instead of taking 4 plastic bottles of pills i put enough to last the festival in one bottle, got searched and security were quite interested in them, had to call over their supervisor to confirm it was ok to let me in with them.

It was fine but you could be questioned and your entry to Wonderland delayed if you just have random loose pills.

Edit: Dodgy spelling!

Never had any problem getting all sorts of prescriptions drugs into the site, including needles. Only just realised that I've actually been taking glass in all these years in the forms of vials of insulin.
