Gate B - how long to queue last year?

Could someone who arrived early Wednesday morning last year give me the rough amount of time it took them from arriving on site to getting through Gate B?

Also I am coming from Bristol down the A37 - what is the traffic like from this direction?

I have done the West Carpark for years which has suited me but am coming from different direction this year and want to roughly gauge what I'll be up against?

Not sure of the time it took, but remember that last year was busier than usual because of the World Cup, so any times that someone gives will be unrepresentative.

Arrived 8.30am no queue, Got directed to e2 car park. Queued for 2.5 hours to get in gate B. Complete nightmare. Wrote to glasto office to complain as also experienced incompetent stewarding trying to get out on Sunday night. They said they had made changes this year to avoid the problems of last year and hopefully will not be as bad. This will be my 15th time - last year was worst ever experience trying to get in and it was the earliest I'd ever got there! Sorry for those who had to queue alot longer! Worth the wait tho as always!

I don't think they should use E2 early on, I'd be interested to hear what they are changing for this year. It's too big a field for when everyone's trying to leave it at the same time. Also when E2 eventually fills and they start filling E3, people arriving much later into E3 will get a much quicker flow into E1 and having arrived later will probably get in quicker.

So the A37 is also closed? Wasn't feeling the love for Gate B and thinking of sticking with what I knew and head to West Carpark from A37 but sounds as though that is not going to happen if they close A37?

This may be a thick question, but if you come down the A37 from Bristol, do you come in through a different entrance to the campervans, i.e. further north? We've always used the west car parks too but are aiming for gate B this year so want to come in from the East. We don't want to be stuck trudging along the campervan fields again this year as it was a mare. We came from Yeovil last year and the roads and car parks were a breeze, shame that didn't last once we started walking!

The A37 will not be closed.

To clarify... the A37 is not planned to be closed, but may be because of accidents, local scrapyard fires etc.....
