london_ajay
Plan to spend £200, keep another £100 in the bank for a "just-in-case". Take a spare wallet, put most of the cash in there, keep the card with you. Place said wallet in a bag with your valuables in the free property lockups, it will be safe and secure. You can check your stuff in and out at a whim. However, those lovely people who look after your property will always be happy to receive a donation as the lockups are run by charities. HTH! scappaflow
You can spend as little or as much as you like. Food and drink is not expensive, in that it's good value for a festival. But you'll still pay £3.50 / £4 for a burger. And £3.30 or so for a pint. if you take food, cereal bars, crips etc are pretty good as you can carry them about and the heat doesn't destroy them like it would fresh food or sannies. If you are really on a budget and don't plan to buy silly hats, ice lollies or Strawberry Cider and the like then £10 a day will see you by. There are cash machines, but get up early if you want to avoid any major queues. If you can afford more, then take it. If it's warm you will welcome a nice cold drink when all your cans are roasting. Likewise a 99 will look very good compared to an old bag of quavers. However, Quavers are amazing and you should def take them, even if you have £500 with you!! meesh
I've taken £300 and spent it all as well as £150 going home with money - you can do it on the cheap specially if you take booze and a bit of food. I always buy 2 meals per day and take things like nutria-grain cereal bars and bananas for breakfast. I always take a couple bottles of spirits and cider too so cuts the booze cost Budget £25-30 per day

tinkerbeth
I think i will take about £200 with me.. I don't really plan on spending money in silly hats etc from stalls. Just need money for food drink and maybe a few extra bits.. Thanks for all the advice, I know from past Leeds Fest's that the food can cost alot so I guess I will aim to bring a fair bit myself. Lilmiz
I also take most of the alcohol i will drink with me and £200 should be absolutely fine. I always bring £200 and go home with a few notes left over, I always eat well and buy a t-shirt, with the heat last year (it will be sunny, it will be sunny!) i did spend a ridiculous amount on diet coke but still stayed within my £200 budget. As long as you are happy to spend a lot of your money on food and drinks you'll be fine.
al-in-london
£300 for me. Means I can buy something if the mood takes me, and have a nice massage in the Healing Fields on Wednesday after the pain and effort of setting up!
saratink
Burgers are bad value for money though. Not that nice, do you no good, don't leave you feeling full for long, so you'll want to spend money on food again soon. Spend £6-£7 somewhere that sells something more substantial; you'll spend less in the long run. Edited June 16, 2011 by saratink
