Yokel Again
After months of debating whether to go this year or not, today the wife and I decided we would, complete with baby (3 weeks old now, 4 months in Sept).. now we have abit more of an idea of how this parenthood thing works, we thought to hell with it, let's go for it! But, bu**er it... just checked the ticket situation for the first time and realised you need a (free) ticket for a 0-5 year old! Having been x2 before I guess it's something I should have considered beforehand, so gutted to learn we now won't beable to go... ..Unless - any spares out there? Anyone now got a young child unable to go that can help us out?! Thanks to anyone in advance. :-)

Yokel Again
Thanks Risteardo! I can't really buy the adult tickets until I'm sure the little one can join us, as there's no-one really we can leave her with (and wouldn't want to!).. so will be praying that the adult tickets doesn't sell out before August then. If you could please let me know then that would be fantastic. :-)
bennyhana22
Perhaps not a realistic suggestion, Yokel, but had you considered buying the adult tickets and off-loading them if the children's ticket doesn't come through? The EoTR team have announced that they expect a sell-out soonish and earlier than in previous years and I would say that waiting 'til August might be mighty risky. That would have to be weighed up against the prospect of not getting rid of tickets you could then not use or taking a significant loss perhaps. I don't know what the other board members would advise regarding the likelihood of selling two EoTR tickets in August this year? Lots of other sites' members see EoTR very favourably in general and are particularly complimentary (understandably) about the line-up this year, so you might find that there's a fair old market for tickets as the festival approaches. You seem a lovely young family and I'd hate you to miss out! I say get 'em bought! Ben

Risteardo
I can see the bind you're in, Yokel Again. I'm probably being over cautious thinking that I need to hang on to it til August, so I'll speak to my prospective fellow EOTR attendees and will make a call on it as soon as possible. Don't want to keep you hanging on. Assuming you get a kiddie ticket, can I recommend you get a nice pair of kiddie ear protectors. Our little girl slept right through Explosions in the Sky a couple of years ago thanks to them.
bennyhana22
This is just a lovely message board. I've had one hell of a shift at work and reading this made me warm inside. Ben x
Yokel Again
Thanks again Risteardo for your responses. And Yes Bennyhana22, this is a lovely place - but of course it's all about EOTR, so how could it not be?! EOTR proves itself to be the most special and personal festival time and time again in my opinion. The good news!!!... Put out enough lines of enquiry that one 0-5 ticket has already def materialised! YAY!! So, x2 adult tickets for the Mrs and I already purchased last night. WE CANNOT WAIT! Thanks again Risteardo - I hope you read this before you send out too many further enquirires to your fellow festie goers. You are very kind and I wish you all a fantastic festival. We will be the happy looking ones with a young and hopefully content bambino strapped to one of us - if you see us around the site say 'Hello'! Roll on September. bennyhana22
That is brilliant news, Yokel! Ditto - any childsling carriers will get a happy hi from me as I remember the wonderful, if distant, day that included carrying a beautiful bundle on my chest. (no immature double entendres needed to spoil this rather lovely moment, thank you!) Ben
*biggreg*
I'll probably still have a spare kiddie ticket, so when I know for sure I'll post a thread about it. Failing that, am sure I'll find someone on site in Sept who needs one.
Risteardo
Ay up, I'm on the lookout for a 0-5 year ticket. Risteardo, please keep me in mind if you have a spare, or indeed if anyone else reading this has one that they no longer need. Hopefully karma will follow me around since I was able to help out others last year... /index.php?showtopic=151559&st=0&p=3404635&#entry3404635">http://www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=151559&st=0&p=3404635&#entry3404635 Peace out x
laurenkemery
Don't mean to jump on this band wagon but my hubby and I are looking for a 0-5yr ticket for our 12month old son if anyone has any additional spare. We've bought our tickets and desperately hoping that someone will be able to help out. Many thanks

Phil E
I have a spare 0-5 child's ticket but I need an adult ticket. If anyone has bought an adult ticket for their child I would be happy to buy it and let you have the child's ticket. Thanks Edited June 29, 2011 by Phil E

Risteardo
I have an infant (0-5 years) ticket that I sadly won't be using for my daughter this year. I gave Biggreg first dibs on it, but haven't heard back from him since my last post about it almost 2 weeks ago. So I guess it's available again. Anyone need one? R.
