I've heard the HK tent gives out free food but do they preach to you whilst your eating?

They weren't preachy with me but I have to be honest, I feel quite uncomfortable taking things for free so I chilled a while and had a chat then gave them a fiver.

I'm not at all religious but I find it very peaceful and joyous. I wouldn't take their food tho because I can afford to buy my own and it wouldn't seem right somehow.

its lovely food which is why i sometimes end up going, but i do leave a donation, maybe a fiver. and there is normally a ginormous queue too.

They are there for a reason like all of us, only they have a traders licence. They do what they can and will gratefully/hopefully accept any donations. No one is forced to give donations, or talked to for hours until they do. They are not religious salesmen by any means and from what I've seen over the last 25 or so years this lot are the most chilled out people on the entire site. That's why they are still there, respect them please.

No catch - really nice people and they were incredibly supportive in the year of the big rain when a lot of people were washed out. Offered space for people to dry off and rest. An OK bunch.
