mooseman
Just a bit of fun as I want to be at glastonbury. What food and drink do you only eat at festivals, mine would be the shitty breakfast in a tin and beans and sausaes, again from a tin and normally consumed cold. For drink it would be warm spirits consumed straight and before 12. Also the cider is normally finished before the lager so that is drank warm after the first few days. Budweiser
Cereal bars (usually the coco pop ones), Hula Hoops, Apples, carrot, water, lucozade, red bull and loads of beer. Preferably Kronenbourg (:
swordfish
I usually think i'm being clever by bringing loads of food, and then just end up blowing money on Burgers.
The Mean Bean
Why has nobody mentioned Pot Noodles and Super Noodles yet? I live off that shit at fests, how much of one's 5 a day is in a Pot Noodle? I bet it's a lot.
Mega Ross
Pot noodle = none of your 5 a day. It's a lot of carbs and sodium but thats about it, the "vegetables" wouldn't contain any nutrition. Can't stand that shit, loads of people my age eat them but I don't understand why. f**king horrible things man, only time they've ever been edible is some plain instantl noodles, a little soy and an egg mixed in. Even then it was pretty debatable whether I'd go hungry. Hog roast rolls and steakwiches, arguably the best foods. JohnsonWHU
Last 2 years at reading I've gone through around 5 pot noodles, about 20 bags of crisps, and the odd portion of chips from the vans, and literally nothing else.

Mega Ross
Blah I despair of todays youth, and I live with half of em at uni Forgot my number one thing last year, bananas, really good for hangovers man. I've done a lot of reasearch into hangovers, because I have nothing better to do and I love biology anyway. Alcohol drains your body of potassium, so stuff like bananas, tomatos etc. lessen the effects. And they also help move that morning shit along so you can get drinking faster. mooseman
Well this brings us onto a serious point; last year I brought a load of fruit so I wouldn't scurvy, by the Friday it was a smoothie and smelled bad, is there anywhere apart from the daft Supermarket with the massive que that I can buy myself some fruit? saints15
I think some people have missed the point of the thread, why are people talking about eating 5 a day. This thread is about the bad food you only eat at festivals. Bring dried fruit or a little plastic box to protect it. I'm talking about eating that questionable pack of bacon that was left in the tent for to long or the pack of sausages that became mush so was turned into sausage burgers. Mega Ross
Don't buy a hexi stove, you're more likely to heat water using the force. Man a jedi would be useful at reading. Get a bbq/ fire if you really think it's worth all that hassle for a disgusting cup of noodles, personally I'd stick on some bacon or sausages if I had a bbq on the go though.
