Thanks grumpyhack. It's now looking dodgy as to whether we'll get to Birmingham airport as it's been snowing again here today. I've just been out in the car and the roads are trecherous. Tried calling two taxi numbers to get a car arranged for the morning and they aren't taking bookings as they can't commit to being able to honour them. They told us to ring back in the morning. Our intention is to get up at 5am and call them again and then go as early as we can to the airport. I'd rather be drinking in a bar at the airport for a few hours than to miss the flight by not getting to the airport on time. On the bright side if we get to the airport there's a good chance that the flight will take off as there's been fewer delays there as compared to places like Heathrow. Apparently it's due to them investing in some majorly expensive bit of winter runway clearing machinery wherease Heathrow didn't bother to invest. Seems a little mad of Heathrow not to but there we go.

Anyway, if I post on here tomorrow you'll know I never made it to the airport!
