SECRET GARDEN PARTY CRIMINALS

I've been involved in organising events myself and there's always two (or more) sides to every story.

There was obviously some incident that started all this and the video has obviously been edited to show the security people in the worst light, but the fact remains that the security people handled this very badly. Where were their managers? I was at Hop Farm Festival recently and all the security had clearly defined supervisors and managers who stepped in at the slightest disagreement: maybe there should have been more of this at SGP.

The festival organisers should have briefed their security teams better (security should always refer members of the press to someone from the organiser's office) and they should have got involved at some stage and put a stop to it all.

But maybe the fact that they are branching out into more festivals (such as the impending Wilderness Festival - will it be organised the same way??!) means that they have taken their eyes off the ball.

If you don't know, Charlie Veitch (the bloke who filmed it) is a bit of celebrity Youtube broadcaster, takes his camera everywhere. He normally makes videos showing how the police abuse their position. It's not really that suspicious that someone told him what had gone on (SGP is the type of place he would be recognised) and he filmed, or he simply saw it.

I don't care what he thinks he is.

He's acting like he's on some personal crusade in an incredibly annoying, almost childish, manner.

Security and police don't attack people for no reason. The heavily edited video doesn't show what happened to the first guy.

But it needs to be investigated - and SGP have stated they are doing so.

Wilderness is run by SGP along with MAMA Group (who do Lovebox and other stuff, and who are owned by HMV).
