just for ref his phone number is 07526757817 going by the name of Arron Clements claiming to be from dover and using bank details

Don't want anyone else to get caught out.

:blink:I was assured he'd sent them recorded delivery yesterday, but when i asked for a tracking number he just ignored my calls mail and text.

I then looked further into it and seen he had posted on other forums yesterday just after taking my money, that he had tickets for both V site, Leeds sites, Reading Sites and also posted on Green man festival facebook page that he had tickets for there too.

They were all being sold at the same price, with the same excuse for him not being able to go.

Now i'm no inspecter cludo but i smell a rat

The police are involved now and hopefully they will catch the scumbag before someone else loses out

Done a little investigating... he seems to be a full-time ticket scammer, he does all sorts of festivals, events and football tickets...

Notice how he changed his name on this one?

This is handy as the police have easy access to IP addresses from Facebook.

There are no 'A Thorpe's registered as living in Southampton (however there is a A Clements) and no record of either in Dover.

Edit: He also f'cked a few people over on the V Forums under the name james18236 ... One poor girl he offered to sell her tickets after she got scammed... Little bastard.

Thanks this will come in handy when the police come out tomorrow.

I can't beleive people are able to make a living like this. Its theft. He should be locked up for fraud but the soft legal system we have means he will probably just get a slap and the wrist and see's it as part of his "job"

Sorry to hear this dude, the news for ya isnt too great either. This happened to me and about 6 other people back at the end of May, start of June, we were all conned into paying £300 for 2 tickets to the Download festival on ebay by a guy from Leeds called Del/Dale Wilkinson. I luckily had paid by paypal and got the fund reversed but some of the pther had paid by bank transfer and werent so lucky. Turned out the guy was a known scammer and had charges brought against him previously for selling fake i-phones. Anyway we managed to find out loads of information about him and eventually the cops managed to lift him, however his so called defense was along the lines of,"I admit i did not have the tickets at hand when i sold them on ebay but I took the money from the sales and bought tickets cheapo from a guy off gumtree , i cant remember his name or contact details but i did buy the tickets. I also admit i did not send the tickets recorded deliver as the the buyers had paid for but i did send them via standard post, i dont have a receipt for the postage, i dont know why any of the 6 buyers have not receioved their tickets they must have got lost in the post"

Guess what!? He got off scott f**kin free!! The police said they couldnt do anything as they couldnt prove he did not post the tickets! Great British justice system eh!? I'll tell ya what though it turns put the guy was actually at the Download FEstival himself this year and i know what he looks like, I'll be on the loook out for him next year and if i see him I will be taking justice into my own hands! Scumbag.

Anyway man i hope things work out better for you but unfortunately i wouldnt count on it.

The point of responsibility ends when you post something, all he has to do is say i posted the tickets and then that’s it you can’t do anything.

If you’re implying that the police will actually do anything useful if you report them, then you need to wake up.
