pop up all the way.

Quechua pop-ups are tested in monsoon conditions, mine has never let a single drop of water leak in and its 5 years old. They take 3 seconds to put up and 20 seconds to put down (if you memorize the right way to do it, there is only ONE right way, so dont try and wing it)

they may be a little awkward to carry compared to a normal tent, but you're going to a festival. Not hiking through the mountains for weeks at a time.

I got a 2man dome tent to replace my 4 man tent I took to glasto 2010 (too big and too much effort for just me!!)

http://www.millets.co.uk/product/096463/EH-NESS-2011-GREEN-0.html

worked fine for this years Glasto :) still in good condition just no pegs..they all got kicked out/lost didn't hold very well in the sludge ..tent was still standing though!

I need a new tent as old one was very old and had started leaking, I was gutted to get rid of it as it was a brilliant tent and I am now finding myself a bit lost with what to buy as a replacement. My fella has got a 10 man one so we are sorted if we ever need a massive party tent and my brother also has a big 6 man one we can borrow so it's more the standard 3/4 man with porch I am looking for. For some reason I am not keen on pop ups. I know this probably sounds really sad but I like the satisfaction feeling after having struggled to get your tent up, I feel like I thoroughly deserve my first drink of the festival when that is done and you just don't get that with a pop up. Dunno, I'm not in any rush to buy one since the final camping trip of the year for us has had to be cancelled :(

Bought a 2 man vango dart 200 pop up tent which lasted me through Reading. :D

There was some leakage on the friday when it was raining but not much, brilliant for festivals. Took 2 seconds to put up then 15 seconds to put the pegs in. Putting it away is easy once you know how, would recommend to anyone. Just make sure you bring some extra layers cos it can get cold at night in there...

i'm pretty sure Rufus was taking the piss there...

but to anyone who didnt realise this and is actually looking for tent advice...

DONT BUY CHEAP TENTS AND LEAVE THEM FOR OTHERS TO CLEAN UP

that is all
