Decorating your tents?

Hey I read somewhere that it's a good idea to decorate your tent somehow so that you can identify it among the thousands of other tents on the campsite. I was just wondering if anyone is doing this and what kind of things you're decorating it with?

In 2008 at Glade festival I simply sprayed 'Glade 08' in orange paint. Sure there is lot more you could do though with some spray paint and stencils. If I could be arsed I'd do a space invaders design. Paint or just buy some stickers

Our group will have a few gazebo's and a flag for easy monged out 4am access.

If I had the cash I'd get one of these . Although there would be a risk of theft.

may paint one of the cheaper tents, dunno what tents are like if u paint them. i was thinking of using google maps to put co ordinates in lol.

Disco Fudge that camper van tent is amazing wish I'd seen this earlier although definitely a target for getting stolen! Stickers sound like a good shout hopefully it won't rain! Private Piles google coordinates is a great idea although not sure if I'll be able to see my phone at 4am let alone use it to navigate!!!

lol thanks for that DiscoDan...not quite what I meant but I guess blue/red spew stain would make your tent recognisable!

I have a large flag which is a union jack. Would that be ok to put over the tent or would that attract unwanted attention ? Also the same with padlocking the tent with a small lock ?

Mines a huge bright pink one anyway so I don't think I'll be loosing that!!
