Advice Needed

Hi there

Im new to this site and a creamfields virgin. Got myself a 3 day ticket and cant wait. I've been to a few other festivals but would like to hear the things like but campsite etc etc from the people that are regulars to this almighty event.

Now I'm afraid Im the wrong person to give you advice about the campsite. I live local to the festival and never stay over!

1 - Take what you NEED! Do not take things that are not essential, coz they will weigh you down, make u fed up, and piss you off... (ie deadmau5 ghost costume... i wore one last year and it just pissed me off. i didn't NEED it lol)

2 - Meeting points. You'll lose your friends. Its f**king hard getting a signal sometimes. Have a meeting point.

3 - Don't go and watch David Guetta.

4 - Don't be flashing around your phone/wallet/granny. Like ALL festivals, there are reports of ppl getting mugged or beaten for these items. Stay in the well lit areas with people you know.

5 - Remember to stay hydrated.

6 - Wear comfy shoes.

CeeCeeLuvsDancing that is a brilliant review, i think you have pretty much covered everything you can think of.

David Guetta is pretty cool though, but I'm not to fussed about seeing him again this year but I'm sure me girlfriend will want too!

I would say creamfields is pretty much like any other festival prepare for everything you can think of but take as little as possible and have a brill time!

not guna lie to ye i saw his full set last year and thought the last 45mins was tops he went back to underground. i grew up on underground the days when ye got the call to meet in a field and rave the night away till the filth came and busted them. i mean police officers. think its guna be the almighty SHM for me if these clash.

Nah i was watching with my bro last year... theyd played SHOW ME LOVE in the tunes before Guetta came on and then 3 songs in he played it... I wasnt impressed. And Andy C was on at the same time. So we went to see Andy flipping vinyl at some crazy BPM. Ive heard earlier Guetta stuff and gone nuts for it, but the commercialness of him kinda turned me off it. Im not opposed to DJs having success and stuff, Tiesto is one of my faves ever, but... Guettas not for me. I stayed long enough to hear Sexy Bitch, my fave one, but after that... nah. Andy C.

i agree tiesto is the tits just that each year i try and go see SHM but its either too packed or something happens be better when i get that dj set times round my neck ye feel all important when ye get that ye feel like going up to joe bloggs and saying !IF YE NAMES NOT DOWN YE NOT COMING IN! or is that just me getting far too excited

This will be my first Creamfields and just wondered about something. I REALLY want to see Afrojack and SHM. If Afrojack are on the North Stage, will the SHM tent be too full do you reckon to get into after? Not sure if I make much sense; I know what I mean!!

Last year people were actually OUTSIDE the SHM tent, it was f**king mental!

Is it still decent outside? At V last year (slightly more tame I know) I was outside the Arena tent for Example and still had an okay time!

I thought SHM were on the main stage this year due to the fact the tent was full and they had to take the sides off last year??

I know i really fort SHM were on one of the stages this year - little disapointed they are in a tent again.

I mean great for the atmosphere but not great for having to get there really early to make sure you get in and maybe miss out on others.

The main advice anyone can give is to use your common sense, stay safe and have masses of fun!!

with the tents in camping areas, do they have to be lined up or is it a case of we can put them all in a circle? first time to creamfields so dont know!

No rules with having tents lined up. You can put them in a circle just wouldn’t advise putting a barrier or anything round it, just everyone walks through all the tents (even the smallest gaps) and the amount of ropes you fall over is insane (even sober).

Also space is tight so put them close don’t wanna return to find someone set up camp right in the middle ha ha

cheers mate its just 2 of us setting up 3 tents so will have to get going fast to get them up together..may even leave a space in case someone we know joins us.

Thats the only pain about arriving on the saturday - hopefully some good spots still around in Hospitality.
