sound on the main stage

The nme was a fantastic stage this year. Always a nice amount of room, the sound was perfect. Any clashes I had I chose the band in this tent.

I swear other big stages at other fests i've been to dont suffer like reading did this year, it has put me off the fest a bit tbh.

I personally thought the sound at Leeds this year was pretty good, compared to other years anyway. The wind was pretty strong on the Sunday which always has a bad effect on sound but it seemed to fare ok.

The sound on Friday in the NME at Leeds no matter who was playing I could barely hear the vocals. It only really sorted itself out for The Streets. Other than that I thought the sound was ok, definately an improvement on last year.

Sound was horrible early on in the day on the Friday at leeds, So quiet Taking back Sunday, and I was pretty much in the front row, quality picked up by Enter Shikari though.

Over all the majority of the time I visited the main stage ( not much mind you) the sound was overall pretty good

I personally thought the sound on the main stage was a lot better this year at Reading, the only times I think it was bad was for Architects and Rise Against but considering that the sound is usually bad every year I was really impressed so not sure what the fuss is about. The NME stage sound was amazing this year, Crystal Castles were insane and their sound was perfect.
