There's been some great dramas on Bbc this year, The Shadow Line, The Hour, really good.

I heard The Hour was a bit slow. Didn't watch it, and apparently Dominic West was good, but all in all lacked a little pace. What say you, GM?

I thought it was excellent. The Shadow Line pipped it for me though, Stephen Reay in that was exceptional, should win a Bafta i reckon.

Too busy getting the 'necessaries' together and loading up my van for a 6am start on Thursday Morning.

BESIDES, this Forum has turned into a bit of a 'moanfeast' recently....position of stages, capacity increase, headliner avoidance etc.etc.etc. Victor Meldrew lves !!!

Jings, I've been to all EOTR's but I don't pretend that I OWN the Festival, it'll be great.

There hasn't been any moaning on here for ages and even what you call moans were just some genuine concerns. Some debate was had and we all agreed it would still be great but those going alone/meeting up were just looking for some info so they could make plans, where's and when's etc.

No one is claiming to own anything though, we're all really looking forward to it. Some people (like me) are just the worrying kind that's all

This. But to be honest this has been what has been stopping me posting more. It's tedious when you can't raise concerns and have a debate about things without someone keep complaining that everyone is moaning. I don't know, I guess I just don't like the atmosphere around here this year and I know I'm not the only one.

But that aside I'm up for talking about stuff if people are here to talk!

Headliners are all great (especially Mogwai, they've been playing 2 Rights Make 1 Wrong a lot recently!), I'm sure everyone will love the Woods stage location, the capacity increase will be unnoticeable and most importantly there will be something for perfectpassion to do whilst JN is on.

only just logged on( why do i feel i have to apologise??)

I am starting to get very excited about going and unusually,I dont feel like going to work at all tomorrow. Have started on the preparations for which I still feel responsible, although our party can now be considered all adult,especially as fenner and his girlfriend sarah are not flying in until tomorrow evening. There are some really great bands playing, but it is always those unexpected discoveries,that make me smile the most!!

See you day after tomorrow

I'm really looking forward to EOTR, particularly if the forecast stays good. I'm not looking forward to being away from my computer/email, but I guess it'll be good for me. Time to focus on music. Currently loading phone/MP3 with all manner of musical goodies for the journey.

Musing on whether to bring cd cases/inserts for signings.

Sadly, there is no way I will be able to make it till Friday mid-day: I'm hoping but not expecting to get there in time for TFNH. By not arriving on Thursday, I felt last year I'd missed part of the party, but at the moment there doesn't seem too much of a party to miss. As a sucker for Viet Nam movies, I would however like to get my fix of Apocalypse Now in its spanking new print: the extended directors cut which went out, rather a few years ago now it seems, was interesting but unnecessary.

And I hope everyone posts links to their new freshly up-dated clashfinders before heading out.
