Did the main stage move this year?

As above...? It was my first time at Leeds this year and I was thinking all weekend that the stage would be better on on the west of the field looking east as it's on a slope and small people would be able to see better (was thinking this cuz my gf's tiny). Then I just looked on google maps and noticed that it looked like it was there last year, judging by the markings on the grass... Am I right? If so was it better this year or better looking down hill? Any reason for moving it?

They moved it over towards the right last year after the trouble with crowd congestion during Prodigy's set the year before. Must admit, i did prefer it in the old place more tbh

I prefer the new place by far. The arena feels so much more spacious, and you seem to (oddly) get a better view from far back.

First time at Leeds since 2008 and on first walking into the main stage field it felt very tiny and didnt feel right. By the end of the Friday I loved the positioning, it was so easy to get close to the stage and wherever you were stood you had a great view, plus it was very easy and quick to move between the stages.

Its much easier to get a decent view now and there are a lot less crushes

yeah it was moved as the way crowds went towards the main stage the majority would congregate on the left leading to crushes. The new set up is better than the old one.

It's far better where it is now, as has been said it makes it alot easier to get around the Main Stage. It was a nightmare a few years ago, especially when KOL and The killers were on, the whole area was packed and you couldnt get in or out.
