Fareham Grecian
What an incredible weekend. The new Woods stage, although bigger than we're used to (and yes I was worried beforehand), blended seamlessly and all the changes actually made the rest of the site feel a little less crowded I thought. Catering, bars etc all superb as ever (though The Garden Stage bar was a bit shit), vibe fantastic, so many artists saying genuinely how amazing the festival is. Huge thanks to everyone involved and see you next year!
paulwa
I enjoyed the Woods Stage (great sound quality too), but I had the feeling I could have been at any other festival. It was probably more to do with who I wanted to see, but it felt odd not to be seeing the main acts in the really special atmosphere of the Garden Stage in the evenings. Consequently there were no magic "wow" moments as in previous years, but the bill was probably stronger overall for me. Also, it was nice to be able to sit at the bar opposite the Woods Stage and catch some music at times too. The food has always been reasonable at EOTR, but it was especially good this year (an honourable mention for the fish 'n' chip and veggie curry stands here, and that's from a meat eater). Overall, still a great festival and I will be back for more. Cider hangover count: just the one, thankfully.

ljsawyer
I wasn't really a big fan of the Woods stage.. the sound was great but apart from the animal heads and wooden planks at the side it felt like I could have been at any festival and it lacked the intimacy and atmosphere of the Garden which has always been my favourite stage at EOTR. The Tipi being fenced off made the main area feel a lot more crowded as well - I missed the massive wide space between the Tipi and the Big Top with those blue and yellow marquees that you could sit under. Other than that though, I have no complaints. Awesome music, amazing food and still a great atmosphere and enough space overall despite the capacity increase. geofelgie
I think i benefitted because most of what I wanted to see was on the Garden stage......and it was a bit less packed and more special than the past couple of years. psweeting
By far the most surprisingly good aspect of the whole festival for me was the sound quality of every stage I visited. From being at the front of the Beirut set to standing by the beer tent of the Woods stage for Emmy the Great. Not once did I have to struggle due to lack of clarity or volume. I hope someone in charge of the sound reads this forum and can take my thanks for a job very well done.
