SweepingTheNation
Can we make a list of these? I stumbled across Rockfeedback filming Laura Marling in the woods on Sunday; similarly Okkervil River did a set by the disco ship for The Line Of Best Fit on Saturday. Not many piano stage sets this year, but the Cornshed Sisters did one on Friday. What about the Tipi? Three Trapped Tigers and Brakes I know of. (As a sidebar, who did you see who wasn't playing or directly involved but went anyway? Peter Brewis from Field Music tagged along with the Cornsheds, the politi-folkie Chris T-T was spotted, as was Emma from Standard Fare)
Fareham Grecian
Leisure Society played by the ship too, on Sunday. The Growlers played in the Tipi late on Friday night. Chris T-T was playing, he was part of Robin Ince's 'Storytelling Club' (or something like that) on the comedy stage late on Sat night, as were Jim Bob from Carter and Grace Petrie. It was FANTASTIC!! ljsawyer
In the Tipi on the Friday I saw The Growlers, and on the Saturday it was James Yorkston, Bob Log III and someone else.
AndyfromBrackley
Aah...so that was The Growlers on Friday?! So who else tried to keep me awake in my tent near the Tipi? Bob Log, then Daniel Lefkowitz with Richard Hawley helping out on Saturday night. Brakes on Sunday
sadwitch
I really enjoyed Chris T-T and Jim Bob et al with Robin Ince. Though even more than that I enjoyed the man poking another man incessantly with a tree branch for 20 minutes during this. I also enjoyed people getting splattered with bubbles by some woman wandering the crowd during leisure society. You just can't buy moments like that. Other than that I only heard a bit of someone in the Local on Saturday night and their Harmonica-ing was so loud and abrasive I went to bed Didn't catch anyone at the piano, not even punters playing. Disco's too bloody loud there anyway now.
Elfy
We saw the Okkervil River secret set, I had to hare through the crowd at Gruff Rhys to drag Sipperana away for it - acquiring a curious friend along the way who wondered why I was in such a rush Saw and chatted to Steven Adams at Dan Mangan, and ended up standing next to him at Brakes in the Big Top as well. Agree with the comments about Robin Ince, it was the only comedy we got to but was great, and loved seeing Jimbob there
Infinite Jest
Someone on Drowned in Sound claims to have seen Beirut play on "a bandstand" near the Garden Stage. Anyone know anything about this?

Yokel Again
A friend we wer camped with particpated in Laura Marling's 'Experiment in Awkwardness' that she tweeted about - basically she did x1 song for him and one other lucky person in some sort of shack/hut/awning down the back of the Garden Stage on Sunday lunchtime. The 1st 20 people to meet some random guy on site got a private 1song set apparently. He was made up.
SweepingTheNation
Just remembered - I'm certain I saw Rob da Bank checking out the September south coast festival competition during Emmy The Great.
Sipperana
It was a guy on trumpet and a guy on accordion who everyone thought was Beirut, but as they told everyone a few times they weren't. They were very good though!
