In no particular order, apart from the top one:

Phosphorescent - great with a band last year, great on his own this year. Magical

Josh T. Pearson - hilarious. Funniest man of the weekend. I hope he got all the superglue off his fingers. Songs are good too, but I left a little too early to get a good spot to see...

Midlake - never seen them before, but they just about lived up to expectations (which were high)

Willy Mason - didn't expect to enjoy this so much, but we had a lovely time listening to his tunes, sitting in the sun and drinking wine

Beirut - enjoyed this show at the time, and have listened to the new album a lot since the weekend - it's great, although it reminds me of EoTR and makes me want to be back there

RIGHT I have no idea why Captain B has not done anything about his poll, probably still listening to his Other Lives lps.

AND five is too many to bloody count this has taken me ages.....and no SimonW I cannot do a f***ing pie chart......

So....drum roll please....

1. JOHN GRANT (18 votes)

2. ALLO DARLIN (14 votes)

3. JOSH T PEARSON

=OKKERVIL RIVER (both 13 votes)

4. tUnE-yArDs (11 votes)

5. BEIRUIT (10 votes)

6. Megafaun

=Walkmen

=Dan Mangan (all on 7 votes)

7. Midlake

=Other Lives

=Bob Log

=Lykke Li

=Leisure Soc (all on 6 votes)

If you put more than 5 names down I took the first 5!!!! There were 58 artists in the poll. And JN only got 3 votes, (as did Mogwai), I expect her fans are back to reading NME instead of this

You bumped after 5 minutes! How far from the top did it go in that time? Great work compiling the list. Thanks

John Grant top! Thanks to those that uploaded videos.

I had to miss him to get a front row space for Joanna Newsom. It was a good show, but it was the wrong act at the wrong time in the wrong place. A sunny afternoon in the Garden would have been so much better for her.

Thanks...I had to bump cos RL was posting at the same time about Menomena....I will deal with you later! I wish that thread could be renamed because I don't actually give a toss who is playing NDH I don't think I can make those dates

Couldn't help myself making a small dig about JN, yes even though they made a big announcement that she was playing EoTR, the reviewer then decided to go home before she played! "oh the fickle finger of fame"

I am still waiting for someone to either point out that the views on here only represent 0.005% of the festival goers, or JN fans to have a go at me!

Baroquepop, sorry that you missed John Grant, I missed Midlake to get front row for him! Mad isn't it. Having seen him before he wasn't at the top of my list, but I am so glad I went, it was just such a performance.

After finally deciding to get tickets for next year I feel inspired to list my highlights for this year.

Top of my list is She Keeps Bees - fantastic set and some people actually got up and danced. (well 3 of us).

Then in no particular order:

Pappy's on the comedy stage. Ok so maybe I've got a sick sense of humour but the tale of the fat bloke stage diving on to a little kid and then being told by the kid's mum not to worry, he was just soft, physically hurt me, I nearly fell of my hay bale.

Wooden Shjips - I didn't get them at all until I saw them live

Lanterns on the Lake

Lightning Dust

Two moans about this question, one 5 acts isn't enough, two why is it confined to acts I wanted to vote for the cider bus and anyone who gave a daft made up name at the pizza stall.

One controversial question, someone ages ago had Sarabeth Tucek as a highlight. Really? I love her voice and was really looking forward to seeing her but she was my biggest disappointment of the festival, the set just seemed flat to me and she didn't seem to connect with the audience. I've still got her album on my xmas list, it was just this specific performance that didn't do it for me.
