Who bought CDs from the performers and are you enjoying them?

Futur Primitif (Daniel Lefkowitz), Wilder Shores of Love. It's sort of hand-made limited edition (mine is 22/200), and signed of course!

It's really good, I get a little emotional every time I listen to it.

I had every intention of buying the Slow Down, Molasses album, as well as Are You My Mother? by Kathryn Calder, but I'd just spent 35 quid on Pucket and was quickly running out of beer money.

I got Slow Down, Molasses on vinyl, which very generously includes a CD as well.

I bought Daniel's (Futur Primitif) CD too and have been playing it constantly in the car to and from work - absolutely brilliant - really, really talented guy. Saw him at Union Chapel on Friday (with Willy Mason and the Staves) - says he's looking for a booking agent!

Also saw Dan with WM and the Staves. Personally, i think he should be the main attraction not support - his Futur Primitf cd is so beautiful.....

Has that Futur Primitif been put out by End of the Road records? Wish I'd picked up a copy. I got a nice screen printed Daniel Lefkowitz 3 track CD last year. I caught a bit of his late night Saturday Tipi set but missed him on Sunday as like Infinite Jest I was hoping to catch him at The Windmill but he bloody cancelled.

No I don't think it has been put out by End of the Road records, dirtycash. I also got a copy of the mini CD last year and all the tracks from that are also on the new full length one with some excellent new stuff.

I remember buying mine from the Rough Trade store at EOTR last year but this year you could only buy direct from Dan. Hadn't noticed that the CDs were numbered - just checked and mine's 105 of 200. Dan sold a fair few at Union Chapel so if they only pressed 200 I bet he sold them all - there were only a handful on the desk as we left. He checks into his myspace now and again - might be worth messaging him?

Yes, I'm really surprised he's distributing his own CDs - guess there must be a reason though. He's also got a Facebook band/musician page - Futur Primitif - that he seems to access regularly. Apparently he was ill while he was over here and that's why he cancelled the Windmill gig.

Just a brief mention of someone else who seems to have made a big impression on EOTR-goers this year, Doug Paisley. He features on the current Mojo cover CD which is a remake of the Floyd's DSOTM and WYWH, doing 'Us & Them' with Garth Hudson. One of the better efforts, too.

The same CD also has Lia Ices doing 'Wish You Were Here'.
