It'd be good for the world. It's too big to be a single country. A semi-political trading bloc ala what the EU theoretically is with each state having a greater level of autonomy would remove the potential for them to be such a superpower.

Can't see it happening though.

hmmmm .... here's betting that today they're saying they always knew they had it in the bag, but that before election day they had nothing like the same confidence (unless sales-pitching their services).

The simple fact is that no amount of spend from Obama is going to make angry old (probably racist) white man turn into a progressively minded black-hugging liberal.
