Anyone else sick of Mumford and sons?

Just been looking on the predictions and people seem to be convinced that they'll sub! anyone else think that's ridiculous?

No, it's very realistic. I don't like them, but they're one of the biggest bands in the country. They will be headlining many a festival if their next record is as big as their last one.

Personally, Mumford and Sons are really good and i enjoy their music more than most bands in this era.

If their next album or 2 are big success's i expect them to headline this festival, IOW, TiTP etc...

Who else would you rather see subbing? realistically speaking of course?

I really like Mumford and Sons, and they will be big enough to sub headline next year, just look at the crowd last year. If there next album is bigger then they will be subbing next year if they play. They usually have a sub, which is questionable, e.g Paramore in 2010, which tbf they didn't pull off. If they played they would sub.

Not a fan at all and I did get a bit sick of them when they took over the airwaves a couple of years ago but I've got nothing against them subbing. If their next album has as many crowd pleasers as this one then they deserve it, plus it's one less clash for me to worry about!

I saw them support Arcade Fire and gave them a chance and watched instead of just drinking by the bar and they were so bland live, after a series of good support bands it killed off all my energy for AF. If they sub to a band I want to see not a chance in hell I will see them to avoid it happening again and will watch anything on the other stages.

For other subs next year I'd be hoping for Dizzee, Biffy, Prodigy, Manics or Pixies

I hate this band with a passion, mostly because of their bland coma inducing music, but also in part beacause so many people like them just because they are the thing to like at the moment but can still only name two of there songs!

Unfortunately i can see them gaining a high main stage slot, i think sub at this stage would be pushing it at Reading, subbing V wouldn't be out of the question but 3rd at Reading would look 'right'.

Fingers crossed V pay through the nose for them as they havn't had them yet

I'd like to see Franz Ferdinand do it, or Dizzee Rascal given the chance to sub! maybe even The Flaming Lips

If Pixies played I can't see them playing anywhere other than subbing, and I reckon it'd be one of the most popular bookings on these forums for years.

Just hopefully it wouldn't be full of people who don't have a clue who they are just waiting for some huge headliner

I loved their first album, just kind of got overplayed. After hearing The Cave 100,000,000 times I did get a bit fed up of them.

If they sub I'd laugh my head off.

Despise them with a passion, I can't get my finger on it but they are soooo so so boring. The day they announce Mumford's as sub-headliners at RnL is the day I don't go back. (For the time being anyway.)

Their music is throwaway rubbish that gets played on indie pop radio stations and they fail as a live band, so why the hell are they so popular? I really do not understand their appeal, I'll admit that Little Lion Man was pretty entertaining the first time I heard it, but I was sick of it by the end of the song. The rest of their music is just unimaginative and boring. They better savour success while it lasts, because they're a fad that'll be over by the time their 2nd album comes out.

Fuck me, are people that narrow minded that out of three days of music one band in one slot could decide whether you go or not.

Personally I like the album but live I think they need a drummer on every song to give the songs that bit of oomph needed to play to big crowds.
