Ed209
breaking news ... Steve Jobs has died it was coming but I don't think anyone expected so soon. One of the most influential people in the digital age. Say what you want about Apple, their products have been revolutionary and are embedded in our culture. A true visionary Rest in peace Edited October 6, 2011 by Ed209
eFestivals
Sad for someone to die so young. The man had a huge influence on computing, etc, but all the same much less than the eulogies are saying, with as many failures as successes. Hopefully the world can dump the fashion and get back to technology.
The Nal
His work wont be fully appreciated for a few years/ apple have a truck full of patents waiting to be put into production. Very sad - a visionary.

rabid
Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. Now, everyone go out and buy my latest shiny box that goes 'bing' -- Steve Jobs, 1955-2011

Kowalski
A decent but pricey alternative to the mediocrity and vulnerabilities of Microsoft. No matter what kind of smartphone you've got it, it's all down to Steve Jobs who spearheaded the mobile technology revolution. RIP.

rexclark
Sad that anyone dies at a young age but I do find some of the public outpourings of grief a tad over the top.

Purple Monkey
10 years ago we had Steve Jobs, Bob Hope and Johnny Cash. Now we have no Jobs, no Hope and no Cash.
