Jackmypie
Manchester will be crazy on those nights. Might try nabbing a ticket or 2, Manchester is a trek from somerset though
rexclark
I hope for the sake of everyone going that the band make the effort. It would be a damn shame for people to go and see a half arsed show. I'm sure if even if it is for the money the band will be right up for it, I'd love to go to a big reunion gig like that but I'm not a Roses fan at all. Big Vern
I think they've all matured now and after the stuff Squires has said in the past about not reforming they're going to have to pull something special out of the bag to not look like a bunch of cocks. Ian Brown still has a solo career so surely he won't want to put that in jeopardy?
Jackmypie
Anyone think they could do some festivals? Seeing as they're writing some new songs, I doubt they would write them only for just 2 shows. ?? Mardy
it's just so fucking depressing.
Ringo_Spar
Oh good, so I dont have to mention it. Coming to a festival near you.... I can see the lineup now. Stone Roses Beady Eye Shaun Ryder Inspiral Carpets Peter Hook and the Light Puressence with Clint Boon DJ sets in between. Attracting all those w*nkers who used to go watching Oasis and who hug their mates when they hear Use Somebody or Sex on Fire. I'll give it a miss, Ta. Uncle Liam
Do we reckon the Friday Heaton Park date will be the first, or will it be like Blur's comeback where Hyde Park went on sale and then a dozen other shows were announced beforehand? I notice the wording "The dates will form part of an extensive world tour." doesn't specify that they'll be the start of the extensive tour... I'm only gonna travel up to Manchester if that's the first date!
pehaw
... I suppose they have a year to tune up Brown for starters, because they will be a laughing stock if he sounds anything like that Reading performance. Big Vern
mmmm having watched the press conference I'm still not convinced Squires is in to it that much and I think Reni has his doubts as the "grown up" one of the bunch. Can't wait to see how it all pans out though.
harderfaster
15 years of solo gigs have resulted in an OK live voice. It's certainly much stronger than it was back in the day though by no means great. It's good enough. For any that haven't seen the press conference... and this is a cracking read - http://louderthanwar...ome-extra-stuff "Reni playing drums again, live…" - enough said really. joe1990
none of them seemed that arsed apart from brown.

Wooderson
Stone Roses at Slane has the potential to be incredible though chief. Also has potential to resemble the epicentre of a shitquake, granted. My money is still on Oxegen.

jump
Just curious but is there anyway to find out if the Stone Roses have had a jump in album sales since they announced all of this?

The Nal
Surely too soon to tell? It was only announced yesterday, albeit with talk starting before.
