efestivals mobile - website now live

I've been working on a mobile version of the website, and finally got enough of it sorted to tell people it's there.

Feel free to take a look, either with your standard browser or your mobile device.

It's still a work in progress, so please feel free to leave any comments on what you think might improve it.

I'm also open to any suggestions for how you'd prefer the photo galleries to be displayed - I don't have the first idea for what might be the best way to do them for mobiles.

I like the mobile version of the main website but I am a little unsure about the on forums. The main index is great, but I prefer to see the avatars to ID posters but that is down to a small more than anything, My main quibble would be the inability to quote a post, but then I could always switch to the main version. At the moment I use the main version through Opera mini and I am quite content with that

The mobile skin for the forums has been available like that for a very long time now, and it's the standard lightweight skin layout (with some colour changes) ... so I'm not going to mess with it, it's been built by people who have a better idea of things than I do. It doesn't have stuff like users avatars precisely to keep it lightweight.

You'll be pleased to know that you can quote a post - just click on the post you want to quote, and some more buttons appear.

Um, the forums via the main website seem to have changed to the mobile version....

that's cos the link to the forums on the mobile website forces the mobile skin onto that user. For people using their mobile devices it'll mostly be what they'd want.

It can be switched back via the 'change theme' link at the bottom of any forums page.

The mobile site now includes the Food Traders, where you can vote and comment on the traders we have listed.

(They'll be an update with more traders added within the next month).
