Rammlied (UK Rammstein tribute band) have dates for both Download & Sonisphere on their website. Not sure if that means they are going as band or as part of the crowd tho.

I thought they were brilliant at Sonisphere last year and would be very pleased to see them again.

Maybe it was off the back of Megadeth being terrible that they sounded so good but they went down a treat from what I saw.

Don't 'The Scorpions' play to backing tapes these days? Sure someone on the official forums had seen them at a recent euro-fest appearance & they were miming out of time? There might even be youtube footage of it? Anyway…F*ck that!

Motorhead aren't big enough to headline 2nd, subbing 2nd is more fitting these days. Slash might be an option although I think he'll be at Soni. Judas Priest with Motorhead/Chickenfoot subbing would be my prefered option if they have to book a 'classic' headliner.

Scorpions were most definitely not miming when I saw them in nov. really good show. I'd be happy with slayer or Motörhead. It is the scorpions though. Trust me, I just looked at some tea leaves.

Isn't the Saturday Metallica, Biffy, The D, UNANNOUNCED and then Trivium? If so couldn't Slayer go in the unannounced slot?

High Voltage isn't happening this year - i wonder if that gives more scope for acts at Sonisphere and Download.

Mustaine's voice went during Holy Wars which frankly at the point was something of a relief!

I love Megadeth but I've seen them 4 times now and they've been poor at best every time where as Slayer has kicked ass.

Ive seen Megadeth many many times (the first being in 1986) and without doubt the best I have ever seen them was supporting Judas Priest about 3 years ago. They blow hot and cold, Mustaine is so temperamental. They were fucking garbage at DL 2 years ago. My mate said they were the best of the big 3 pre metallica at soni.
